Raymond Charles Larcher RRAR REALTOR of the Year
CARY, N.C. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Raymond "Ray" Charles Larcher was named 2012 REALTOR of the Year (ROY) by the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS (RRAR) at the association's annual inaugural ball at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in RTP, Saturday, January 12, 2013.
Executive Vice President of RRAR and President of Triangle MLS, Inc., Larcher was chosen for his twenty years of exceptional service to the association. Presenting the award Saturday evening, Phyllis Brookshire, 2012 REALTOR of the Year said, "Ray is an outstanding executive director and is most deserving of this award. We are grateful for his loyalty, commitment and all of his efforts on behalf of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS."
A native of Massachusetts, Larcher joined RRAR in 1994 when the association had only 2,200 members. Today there are more than 5,000 members. Prior to that, Ray spent 13 years with the North Carolina Association of REALTORS in Greensboro. Ray is active at the state and national associations. He is a past Governor of the Association Executive's Institute of the National Association of REALTORS and has served on numerous committees over the years and is currently serving on a Task Force for the AE Committee. He is also a past Chairman of the Association Executives Committee of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS and has served on a variety of committees for this Association including Strategic Planning.
