Trillium Trading Raises Funds for Sandy Relief
NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Trillium Trading, a proprietary trading firm, is assisting families in Staten Island impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Trillium's Chairman, a native of Heartland Village on Staten Island, co-founded the SI Sandy Relief Fund, a non-profit charity dedicated to identifying individual families in need and providing targeted donations to help get them back on their feet. The SI Sandy Relief Fund has thus far raised over $100,000 and has used that funding to provide food, shelter, and transportation to families on Staten Island who lost everything in the storm.
Inspired by their Chairman's initiative, many of Trillium's traders and staff visited the hardest hit areas themselves, and have contributed both their time and money -- which Trillium matched -- to the relief effort.
